Controvento is situated in the Rocca San Giovanni region of Abruzzo right by the Adriatic Sea. No chemicals are ever used on the farm and they always allow for spontaneous fermentation. The wines are made without fining, filtering, or added sulphur.
The 2018 Arsenio E Zazza is a medium bodied red with a slight effervescence. Equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Montepulciano D' Abruzzo, the fruit is hand-harvested, destemmed and cofermented in stainless steel with native yeasts. Cranberry, cherry, rich and grippy.
