2P Production is a project between Romain Plageoles and his wife Fanny Papelard. Romain primarily takes care of the vines, and Fanny works in the cave during harvest with the fermentations, and they make all the winemaking decisions together as a team. The Plageoles family has been an influence on winemaking in the Gaillac region, dating all the way back to Romain's grandfather Robert. Romain and Fanny are continuing that tradition in their own style.
After the grapes are handpicked, the juice and the skins ferment spontaneously in fiberglass tanks. The skins are removed after a short amount of time to limit the amount of extraction in the wine and keep the freshness. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
2P Production's "Mix" is a medium bodied and well-rounded. Blueberries, purple plums, and some underlying earthy notes. Great with a chill.
